Kroozin'
for Karly began in 2012 when a 5K was organized to assist with Karly's medical
expenses. We are now paying it forward! The 2014 Kroozin' for Karly 5K will
raise funds to assist those touched by cancer in Gaines and Yoakum counties;
hopefully other areas in the future. Our goal is to provide financial
assistance to those in active treatment and to create scholarships for
graduating seniors that have been directly affected by cancer. We are thrilled
at the chance to help others affected by cancer.
There
will be music, kids’ activities, vendors, a silent auction,
door prizes for runners and a raffle following the 5K Run/Walk.
Entry Fee: $30 per runner/walker through
10/3/2014.

As
a participant in the Kroozin' for Karly 5K and all it's activities on 10/4/14,
I know that running is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter or
run/walk this event unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to
abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely
complete the run/walk. I assume all risks associated with running/walking in
this race including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other
participants, insect bites, the effects of weather, including high heat and/or
humidity, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks
being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these
facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my application, I, for myself
and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Kroozin' for Karly
5K, and all sponsors, organizers, and volunteers of this event; the City of
Seminole; Kroozin' for Karly, and it's representatives and successors from all
claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event
even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the
part of the persons named in this waiver. All fees are nonrefundable. I give
permission to Kroozin' for Karly to reproduce prints and display in all print
and electronic format, any photographs of me. I understand that these pictures
will be utilized to promote the programs and activities of Kroozin' for Karly.
